New! New! New!

It’s the time of year for changes and updates. It’s time to think about cooler weather, shared holiday time with friends and family, and finding some quiet, snuggly time for ourselves once in a while.

At Tealightful, we are ready to help you enjoy these changes with minimum effort and maximum enjoyment.

Our new catalog is filled with lots of new teas (many unflavored ones at your request), dessert cremes, and lovely tea accessories to make all your upcoming events relaxing and your gift shopping easy.

We also have a new website address.  I’ve updated all my links here to reflect the change.  If you need it to pass it along to a friend, it’s www.tealightfultea.com.

I hope you’ll join me in a cup of tea soon.  I love sharing a cup with friends — both old and new.

Are you ready?

After Labor Day, this question can mean almost anything.

Are you ready for cooler weather?

Are you ready for a busy selling season?

Are you ready for another holiday shopping, eating, family-and-friends all around, party season?

My question for you is — are you ready to slow down, if even for a moment, and enjoy your life more?  If you answered “Yes!”, I can help you with that.

Tea is that kind of beverage and that kind of experience.  I’d love to share that with you and your friends at a tea tasting.  I love meeting new people and sipping new teas, sharing opinions, stories, laughs, nibbles.  It’s a kind of restoring experience for me.  Tea is comforting, healing.

Ahhh, no time for all that.  I understand.  Then surely you have 30 minutes to yourself someday.  Don’t dare tell me “no”.  If you don’t take at least 30 minutes for yourself, how will you ever have the reserves to serve all the others in your life?  Slow down; I’d love to do a one-on-one tasting with just you and me.  A nice cup of tea or, if you prefer, a glass of it iced, a quiet chat, a little adventure with one or two new teas, a chance to sit quietly and just “be” for a few minutes.  How does that sound?

And I can help with some of that shopping you need to do as well.  We have some great gifts for the holidays and some fantastic nibbles that are quick to make (more time left over for you) and delicious.

Let me help you be ready — for whatever is ahead of you.

Time for a deep breath

We’ve past Labor Day.  The kids are back in school.  Summer is officially over, at least according to the calendar.  It’s time to take a deep breath before the autumn and winter holiday rush starts.

It’s the perfect time for a tea tasting with your friends.

Tea is becoming quite popular again.  People just like you are discovering the health benefits, both from drinking a great beverage and from taking time to enjoy life, relax with family and friends.

I think because of tea’s gentle stimulation, having much less caffeine than coffee, tea is the perfect drink to share in total silence.  It’s great to sit with a friend, your hands wrapped around a warm cup of tea, inhaling the calming fragrance and sipping quietly, enjoying the moment.

So — before your life starts to get really crazy again with the holidays, take a moment, and share some tea with your friends.  I can help.  I’ll be right here, waiting for you, silently sipping my tea.

Wow! That Virtual Tea – What a Ride!

Sorry for the delay with the Virtual Tea report.  I’ve been busy since Thursday, welcoming new fans to my Facebook page and fielding questions about the Virtual Tea.  Hooray!

The premier Virtual Tea was a huge success.  I want to stop right here and thank each and every participant – the “other” Annette from FL, Deb from MA, Theresa from MI, Beth from FL, Kathy from CA, Janis from SC and Sarah from England.  Thank you truly, ladies.  I could not have asked for a better group for our first Virtual Tea.

If you’re interested in seeing our results, you can follow the thread from our Virtual Tea on my Facebook business page, Tea with Annette.  Here you will see the Tealightful teas and blends we reviewed as well as reviews for a couple of other Tealightful products.  Be sure you see Sarah’s video review from England.  What a surprising and tea-lightful addition that was.  When you are ready to place your order, I hope you will find these reviews helpful in making your selections.  Place your order here, or under the side heading on this page “Must See Tea Links, Tea shopping with Annette”

I’m already in the planning stages of the Virtual Tea for August.  Here’s what you need to know if you want to participate.  Right now I’m thinking about Monday, August 20th at 4P ET, to be confirmed within a few days.  You will need internet access, a Facebook account (You can create one for free and de-activate it when the Virtual Tea is over if you choose.), a willingness to taste test and review a tea or blend and about 30 minutes of your time to post your reviews and interact with other participants.  Let me know by sending me a PM on Facebook or email me at tea4u@cfl.rr.com as soon as possible.

Again, thank you everyone for your participation and enthusiasm for the Virtual Tea.  It would have been impossible without you.

And we’re off!

I’ve just returned from the post office.  I was there mailing out all the tea samples for my first Virtual Tea.  I’m tea-lighted to have participants from the east coast, the midwest, and California.  I’m even more excited to have someone participating from England.

Now I’ll be holding my breath until I hear that everyone has received her package.

No, guys, you aren’t excluded; I just didn’t have any men express interest for this first one.  More are planned so let me know if you want to participate.

I’m looking forward to honest reviews from real people like yourselves.  It’s easy for me to say I love the teas, but I want you to buy them from me.  This will provide you with some more objective reviews to help you select the right tea for you.

So the two week countdown begins.  We’re heading for 3:30P ET on Thursday, July 26.  I can hardly wait!

A Virtual Tea

In case you missed this information on my other sites and social media, here’s what you need to know about my upcoming Virtual Tea.

First, the Virtual Tea is on Thursday, July 26 at 3:30P ET.  We will be meeting on my Facebook page, also called Tea with Annette, at that time.  Only 15-20 minutes of your time is required.  As long as you have internet access and a Facebook account, you can participate.

Second, I’m looking for a group of 8-10 participants for this first Virtual Tea. I have seven (7) registered already so we still have space for a few more.  The deadline for registering is Thursday, July 12.  This deadline will give me plenty of time to be sure everyone receives their tea samples in time for the Virtual Tea.  I will be mailing out samples of our Tealightful teas and a couple of people have agreed to taste test food products.  At our designated meeting time on Facebook we will get to know our fellow tea lovers and get their reviews of the teas and foods they tested.

If you are interested in participating this time, let me know soon.  You can comment here, PM me on Facebook or contact me on Twitter.  If you’re interested but this day, date or time is not good for you, let me know.  I have a waiting list with three (3) others who have conflicts as well.  I will be working to schedule another Virtual Tea soon to accommodate this group.

I’m looking forward to kicking back with my cup or glass of tea, meeting some fellow tea lovers and getting some great feedback on our products.  I hope you can join us.

Finally up and running…

Welcome to Tea with Annette.  A dream finally realized.

I have been thinking about this website for almost two (2) years now.  And frankly, I’m still not sure it’s exactly what I want, but sometimes you just have to leap off the cliff and start flapping your wings.

I hope you will enjoy stopping by from time to time.  I’ll be posting tea-related photos, like some of my favorite teapots, sharing tea news that I come across, events I am either attending or planning, Tealightful specials and more.  My goal is to make this your one stop for all things tea.

I welcome your comments and suggestions to make this site better for you. You can follow me on Twitter and “like” my Tea with Annette page on Facebook.

Looking forward to sharing some tea time with you.  Until then, wishing you health and abundant happiness…
